| Q | What are Prescription Writer's system requirements? | | A | Microsoft Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, or Vista and later. Minimum of 64 MB of RAM. CD-ROM drive
| | Q | What type of printer and size of paper is required? | | A | All standard PC compatible printers which can print 8
1/2" x 11" sheets can be used. Prescription Writer is designed
to use standard printers and paper size to eliminate the need for
dedicated printers and custom forms and/or paper sizes. If desired, copy
proof paper, available at most office supply stores, can be used if
illegal duplication is a concern. | | Q | Can Prescription Writer be run simultaneously with
other programs? | | A | Prescription Writer can be active with other Windows
applications. It can be minimized when not being used and expanded
as needed. | | Q | How fast will a prescription print after being
entered? | | A | This depends on the computer and, more importantly, on the
printer. On a computer with a 500 MHz CPU the transmission time is less
than 2 seconds. The actual time required by the printer to print the form
can vary from 6 seconds to 19 seconds. Generally Ink jets are faster
because they print only the lines with information while Laser
printers take longer because they may process a whole page regardless of
the content.
